Oldtimer - Beautiful mens card by Patricia Dewhirst

My name is Patricia and some of you may know or have met me before as I have been fortunate enough to be given the wonderful opportunity to work alongside Anna-Marie at various shows and creative weekends.

Crafting has always been my passion and discovering Anna-Marie’s products has been a complete joy for me, feeding what my family lovingly refer to as my obsessional crafting disorder.

My craft journey began with scrapbooking, moving into stamping, colouring and mixed media.

To satisfy my creativity I was always looking for new challenges and inspiration, so coming across Anna-Marie’s ‘clean shabby vintage’ style at her open days was a revelation and a new passion was born.

The outstanding quality and versatility of the products make them incredibly easy to work with and opens up a whole new world of possibilities for all to enjoy, which brings me on to the project I’m sharing with you today.

Using a 7×7 white card blank as the base, I then mat and layered, first chocolate brown paper, then the newspaper printed cardstock from the shabby vintage range. Next, I took a piece of ivory cardstock and using a brown ink pad, stamped the beautiful train image onto it, again backing it with a chocolate brown paper, I raised the image using foam pads for a 3D effect and placed it at an angle onto the card. I then used a natural hessian to create a bow, then added ribbon and embellishments to finish the design.
